The Showerfriend is a simple device that uses suction pads to fix the wall of the shower, you turn the central handle to depress the shower button and hold it in, which in theory means no more pushing that button, a hassle free shower! The easiest way to get an idea of what this gadget does is to watch the video on the top right of this page. It's a simple idea, and the gadget works in practice. It's dead easy to use, although children may find it a bit fiddly. It seems strongly manufacturered, and we would have thought it should provide fairly long lasting use. (SEE VIDEO BELOW) We got sent two sizes, which means one of them should fit whatever type of shower valve / button you may encounter. It's obvious, but bear in mind if you are a family and you want to use the site facilities at the same time you are going to need to buy more than one. Some might say there is a reason that sites use push button showers, to save water, and to ensure people don't linger too long, causing queues! The makers counter this by saying it will actually save time spent in the shower as you can get yourself done without stopping constantly to restart the water flow. They also say it actually prolongs the life of the valve because the more it is pushed, the more it wears out, so will save campsites money in the longterm. I guess we could buy these arguments. |

| In summary, many people complain about push button showers on campsites, particularly the sort which only seem to give you a 5 second squirt between presses, so this could be the answer. It's a relative modest investment, and is pretty small, so you can pack in your camping gear, so it's always handy should you need it on site | |
